Tricked into killing his wife Lois and destroying Metropolis with a nuclear bomb, Superman, filled with grief and rage, kills the Joker. In the years to follow, the Man Of Steel loses his way as he becomes a tyrant and establishes a new world order. In an effort to stop this, Batman summons his own team, The Insurgency to put an end to the totalitarian Regime.
