After escaping from The Collector, Howard the Duck accidentally crash-landed on Earth in Cleveland, Ohio. There, he meets a girl named Beverly Switzler and falls in love with her after saving her from a couple of thugs who worked for Pro-Rata. Howard tells Switzler his story and what happened to him. Then, Howard teams up with Beverly and Man-Thing to take on Pro-Rata. Howard and Beverly kiss after the villain's defeat and live "quackily" ever after.
