Hannibal Lecter is a cannibalistic killer who projects a charming, charismatic facade. He is highly intelligent and able to psychologically manipulate law enforcement and other criminals. In the first adaptation of 'The Silence of the Lambs', Manhunter (1986), Brian Cox played the character. The subsequent 'The Silence of the Lambs' (1991) saw Anthony Hopkins take on the role, reprising his role in Red Dragon (2002). Gaspard Ulliel played Hannibal in the 2007 prequel Hannibal Rising, while the TV series Hannibal saw the title character played by Mads Mikkelsen.
