Everyone at Pineford High would describe Principal Haynes as a bit of an "old hard-ass", but even that would be a bit of an understatement. Caring more about image than his students, he turns a blind eye to most incidents unless it involves one of the more popular kids -- and more often than less, ends up punishing the wrong student. Elliott is the easiest target for this, and has ended up in the principal's office more than he would prefer, and by now has more or less given up trying to say anything in his defense. After all, Principal Haynes is of the majority that wants to pin him as the bad guy, what good would it even do?
