The last of the gunslingers,Toby Heck, is ill-fated as he is diagnosed with irreversible lung cancer. What was once seen as a man of strength, imposing physicality, and fierceness is now frail and weak. To die trying and peacefully, he seeks to get his younger best friend and his family away from the lawless state of Texas and move out somewhere peaceful in the sunny side of California.
