In a world of sentient characters, striving young inventor Jim Hawkins (Tobey Maguire) wants to work for the avuncular Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly), whose Ralph Industries makes spare parts. But Ralph has just been deposed as company head by the villainous Gaston (Richard White), who wants to make all people submit to profitable forced upgrades.
