After emerging out of the wilderness and fighting alongside the Avengers, Bruce Banner has returned to the real world to continue his research in nuclear physics, however to be allowed to continue his studies he made an agreement with Thaddeus Ross to work alongside the US military and go into battle as the Incredible Hulk.
