Synopsis

An updated remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1963 crime thriller. An executive of a shoe company becomes the victim of an extortion attempt when his employee's son is abducted by mistake instead of his own. The drama includes the ransom and the subsequent manhunt for the kidnappers. It will be slightly altered to allow a greater balance of male and female characters, and I envision it would be set in America. But

Description of Kingo Gondo (Original Name Same):

Executive in a major shoe manufacturer who makes plans to buy controlling interest in the company using his life savings. Freeing it from manipulative directors. However his plans are tossed out the window when he believes his son has been stolen. But when he learns the victim is not his son but his son's best friend, he must wrestle between the choice of his own family's future and someone else's son.
