Several years after the first film, Hercules and Meg are married but facing some marital struggles. Hercules has started his own academy to train new heroes and never seems to have time for Meg, who still has secrets of her own. Meanwhile the young goddess of spring, Persephone, can’t stand her overbearing mother, Demeter, and after a chance encounter with Hades, she stows away with him to the Underworld. Demeter is now convinced her daughter has been kidnapped and vows nothing will grow on earth until her daughter is found. Zeus recruits Hercules to find Persephone and Meg joins him on the adventure. Hercules and Meg must save the earth and their marriage while Persephone begins to brighten up the Underworld and Hades tries not to fall for her.
