After the events of Gabriel and the Multiverse of Madness, Samael, currently staying on Earth, comes back for revenge, as a claim to "rekindle his relationship" with his own brother. Meanwhile, Michael and Remiel are sent as undercover spies into Samael's new legion of tyranny and evil. They soon encounter an array of old and new foes as they clash. Meanwhile, a new Angel, who is revealed to be Gabriel's forgotten brother, comes in to take their place.
