Fan Casting Jack in HBO’s Gotham City

Jack, a small-time crook from Crime Alley, started as a numbers runner and car thief but came to view himself as Gotham’s harbinger of destruction. Cold and calculating, Jack believed that Gotham’s true downfall was its inevitable decay and the forces driving it—Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. He began targeting individuals who represented these apocalyptic forces: corrupt politicians, violent mob bosses, greedy businessmen, and those profiting from Gotham’s suffering with his Red Hood Gang. Rumors swirled that he scarred his own son and stabbed his wife, though it was never verified. After double-crossing Carmine Falcone, it’s believed Jack was murdered in Blackgate Penitentiary.
