In an epilogue, Hanna and Cassie's new office is shown, with Greg now as their partner, having formalized their relationship. Cassie leaves the office for coffee, and Hanna receives a visit from Death himself, who assigns her a case similar to the one he assigned the Reaper in his miniseries. This time, however, Hanna must give a home to the ghost of Principal Williams, the antagonist of the first installment, with the help of none other than Julius Marriott, the bartender who was the Reaper's vessel in his series, only this time he will be the vessel for Margaret Crowe, the original Reaper.
