Synopsis

(Casting mostly with Half-Life 2 and its episodes in mind.) After accidentally causing an inter-dimensional alien invasion from an experiment gone wrong at the Black Mesa Research Facility, Gordon Freeman fights to clean up and stop the resulting catastrophe all while evading a military cover up. Afterwards he is approached by a mysterious man with supernatural powers and "employed" under him, getting sent 20 years into the future to fight with his former colleagues against another worse alien empire, the Combine.

Description of Barney Calhoun:

Former Black Mesa security guard and friend of Gordon Freeman, who he still owes a beer to. Works as an undercover Combine civil protection officer for the resistance during the events of Half-Life 2, eventually becoming a full on fighter in the resistance. He is also the character you take control of in Half-Life: Blue Shift, although it is debatable if it is cannon or not. He was originally voiced by Michael Shapiro and his likeness was based off of Scott Lynch.
