Synopsis

I used to watch to original as a kid but decided to come up with my own take of a reboot concept. I included a new original character that ties into their powers and reveal secrets from the past. 3 girls attending college in Australia explore Mako Island for artifacts where unbeknownst to them discover a crystal grotto that gives them the ability to turn into mermaids. Alongside discovering their powers, they also awaken an amnestic ancient warrior trying to discover his past while helping out his new friends.

Description of Serena:

Darian’s formal love interest from centuries ago who became power hungry and tried to magically alter the crystals that allowed metamorphosis and bend merpeople to her control. A battle that brought down the civilization of Mako Island and Darian’s frozen state. In the present Serena’s spirit returns through a certain full moon and tries to take her revenge through possessing Charlotte.
