Rose Hovick had long envisioned herself as a star, to perform on stage as a vaudeville performer on the circuit, but according to her “I was born too soon and started too late.” She then turns to her daughters, her “adorable and talented” younger daughter June and her “plain and lackluster” eldest daughter Louise. Though she pushes her youngest to be the star, it’s Louise who triumphs as the one and only burlesque superstar Gypsy Rose Lee.read more

Baby June years later (plays ages 16-25), pretty, talented and is frustrated with Rose's donination. Must be a good dancer, baton twirling and splits a must.
