As he sends parallax hurtling towards the sun it’s intercepted by sinestro and yellow lantern corps and a part of parallax binds with sinestro while the rest becomes the central battery for the yellow lantern corps The yellow lantern corps launch a full on war on the planet of Oa, whilst the war rages on slowly destroying the planet, the guardians bestow as much of the battery to as many lanterns they can do Oa can be restored. Parallax-possessed sinestro and Hal relentlessly fight until sinestro gets the upper hand and mercilessly beating to him to near death in one desperate last act of hope Hal uses his part of the battery to imprison parallax in a stasis that would give him enough time to escape and warn earth.
