Guardian of the Universe of the new generation genetically created with the power of Ion stored in Kyle Rayner. After having made intense investigations and studied in detail the prophecy of the "Blackest Night" inserted in the Book of Oa, Sayd, together with Ganthet, began to believe that the Guardians should no longer repress their emotions, but rather accept and understand them, to prevent the events of the Prophecy from happening. The other Guardians did not agree with the couple and expelled them from the Council.
