Seeing that Atrocitus started killing off the Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan leads the Corps in a war against the Red Lanterns. The Blue Lanterns, created by Ganthet and Sayd, also arrive to the war and fight alongside the Green Lanterns. During the battle, Guy Gardner gets so enraged after all the loss on both sides, Atrocitus sends a Red Lantern Ring his way. Consumed by the power of the ring, Guy goes on a killing spree, killing people on both sides and needs to also wear a Blue Lantern Ring to balance out the Red one and is then able to take both of them off.
