Five years into his career as Green Lantern, Hal Jordan has become one of the Corps’ most respected members, balancing his duties in Sector 2814 with his life on Earth. When entire civilizations begin disappearing with impossible precision, Hal launches an investigation after the Guardians of the Universe refuse to explain the growing crisis. As Carol Ferris struggles with Hal’s constant absences, he follows the mystery across the galaxy alongside fellow Lanterns Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Salaak, and Boodikka. The search uncovers ancient secrets linking Earth to powerful cosmic energy pathways, making the planet far more important than anyone realized. Hal’s mentor, Sinestro, helps him uncover evidence that the Guardians have hidden dangerous truths for centuries. As strange yellow energy spreads across the universe, Sinestro grows increasingly convinced that willpower alone cannot maintain order and begins embracing the power of fear. Believing fear is necessary to create peace, Sinestro turns against the ideals of the Corps. His actions ignite a massive conflict across deep space as Green Lanterns battle yellow fear constructs. Refusing to abandon the Corps’ principles of courage and free will, Hal confronts his former mentor and ultimately defeats him through sheer determination. Sinestro escapes into the cosmos, leaving the Corps shaken and divided. Returning to Earth, Hal learns from the Guardians that ancient forces are beginning to awaken throughout the universe. Realizing his homeworld may soon become the center of much larger conflicts, he quietly begins watching over Earth more closely. Post-Credits: Deep beneath a classified military installation, an ancient alien spacecraft suddenly activates. Inside a hidden stasis chamber, two glowing red eyes open as a telepathic voice echoes through the darkness: “J’onzz…”
