After Abin-Sur, an elder Green Lantern is killed, he then sends his ring to a new owner. The ring finds itself on the hand of Hal Jordan, a loser from earth with no future. This ring teaches Hal to defend the planet from the evil Parallax, a dark entity looking to take over the universe. With the help of some other Green Lanterns, Hal is able to defeat Parallax and continue as the guardian of earth. read more
