Hal is now Earths leading Green Lantern and one of the universes best protectors. Hal is assigned to protect CENTCOM representatives including John Stewart until they are intercepted by a Yellow Lantern named Abin Sur who claims they own that sector. We learn that the Last Guardian formed the yellow lanterns to rule the universe. The Last Guardian has taken over Oa and taken the Green Lanterns power core and plans to use it to travel to the Dawn of time to rewrite the universe. The yellow lanterns realise they were being manipulated so turn good. Hal and Guardian have a big fight and Hal destroys the Last Guardians machine seemingly killing them both. John Stewart receives Hal’s ring and all the Lanterns have a massive funeral for Hal in Space. Mid Credit Scene:- J’onn J’onzz meets with John Stewart and explains to him that he should join the Justice League to continue Hal’s legacy End Credit Scene:- Carol is in her office mourning Hal crying when we hear a smash, Carol goes to investigate and we see it’s a Purple Ring.
