Synopsis

Oliver Queen, the young heir to Queen Consolidated, is a playboy in decline. Living in excess and avoiding his responsibilities, he represents the 1980s "greed is good" ethos. When a tragic accident on the company’s construction site results in the deaths of dozens of low-income workers, Oliver becomes the scapegoat, sparking protests and violent backlash against him and his family. Disgraced and abandoned by those he once relied upon, Oliver retreats to the ruins of a foreclosed factory once owned by his father. While wallowing in self-pity, he uncovers shocking evidence of the company’s exploitation of Star City’s poorest neighborhoods, orchestrated by his late father and covered up by the city’s elite. Wracked with guilt and seeking redemption, Oliver begins training in archery and survival, skills he picked up during a privileged childhood filled with extreme hobbies. Donning a green hood to obscure his identity, he takes to the streets as a vigilante. His targets: corrupt politicians, Queen Consolidated executives, and other figures of power who profit from the suffering of the city's underprivileged. But his methods—lethal, theatrical, and increasingly erratic—blur the line between justice and madness.
