  • kccasting Hephaestus is the most tragic and sympathetic character in the show. A child so ugly that his own mother threw him off a cliff after he was born. Politely, to McCann, we need someone whom would not necesarily be seen as handsome compared to the other gods but also have a level of power to rival them. McCann is a handsome man in his own right, don't get me wrong, but I can see why Aphrodite would go for Huerta over him. Whilst vicious in battle, he also needs to be one of the kindest and humbler gods considering the fact that he grew up amongst mortals and trained by them to be a blacksmith, whilst also having an understandable level of anger that comes from the way he was treated by his mother.
