Neko-orc son of Chief Zinwall and love interest for Amaya. Though his mother is dead by the events of the story, she was most likely Neko as evidenced by Messani being a hybrid with cat like features as well as his father’s ever changing skin. Unlike Darcy Zunnager, he is desperately seeking to join the war, but is held back by his father’s refusal to let him join, though Chief Zinwall still trains him in war combat for survival. This trait causes some tension between him and his father but ends after his father dies in his arms, at which point he determines to join the war in his father’s honor.
