Narrated by the unknown, omniscient blogger "Gossip Girl", the series revolves around the lives of privileged upper-class adolescents living in Milan. The series begins with the return of Upper Milan Side teenage "it girl" Serena Vandelli from a mysterious absence. She is reunited with her frenemy Barbara Wolf-Ferrari and her mother Liliana, and she also meets Daniele Herin—an aspiring writer from Corsico who is one of Serena's main love interests throughout the show.
