Synopsis

Dear Friends, You asked for a volume about Gordon, our big blue express engine. Here it is. Gordon has been naughty for not wanting to do a dirtier job, and Sir Topham Hatt was stern with him for trying to avoid it and sliding into a ditch by forbidding him to pull coaches for a while. Gordon has now learned his lesson after helping both James and Thomas after some troubles and is now a Really Useful Engine again for his help in saving the day when Queen Elizabeth came to visit us here. Description of Henry the Green Engine (NWR #3):

Henry is a long, fast engine with a streamlined look which tends to make her somewhat high-strung. Out of the bigger engines such as Gordon and James, Henry is the most likely to be respectful to engines such as Edward, Percy and Toby on a regular basis. She tends to be something of a nature lover, with her favorite place being the line-side forest between Knapford and Crosby. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: I prefer to write and hear Henry as Male-to-Female transgender with the transition to being female brought on due to her accident with the Flying Kipper that necessitated her rebuild decades ago. So, only suggest FEMALE actors for the voice of Henry in MY projects.

  • ltathena For those of you wondering why I write Henry as female, my headcanon is that she was MTF transgender and the accident with the Flying Kipper and subsequent rebuild as an LMS Black 5 also came with a free gender reassignment overhaul from male to fully female courtesy of Sir William Stanier. And even before that, (when male) Henry identified as female and both the Fat Controller and the other engines respected it by using the preferred female pronouns in talking with and about her.
