Synopsis
Godzilla Vs Kong – Part 1 is a 2020 monster film directed by Christopher Nolan, Guillermo Del Toro And Peter Jackson and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the first of two cinematic parts based and the fourth instalment in the Monsterverse series. It was written by David S Goyer and produced by David Heyman, David Barron, and Emma Thomas and features an ensemble cast.
The film stars Aaron Taylor Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Joe Morton, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Thomas Middleditch, O'Shea Jackson Jr, Anthony Ramos And Elizabeth Ludlow reprising their roles with new stars Ben Barnes, Andrew Garfield, Dane Dehaan, Dwayne Johnson, Tom Hardy, Jason Statham, Gerard Butler, Liam Neeson, Idris Elba, Gary Oldman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeremy Irons, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet, Vanessa Kirby, Keira Knightley, Charlie Hunnam, Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp and Michael Fassbender. It is the sequel to Godzilla King Of The Monsters (2019) and is followed by the concluding entry, Godzilla Vs Kong – Part 2 (2021).
The story follows Godzilla and Kong making their ways towards eachother in a epic battle for the ages while a war has started between America and Russia.
Part 1 was released in 2D cinemas and IMAX formats worldwide on 6th February 2020. The film received positive reviews with critics praising its performances, cinematography, visual effects and musical score.
