Inspired by the mini-series by IDW, it has been years following a devastating event known as the Cataclysm, an apocalypse in which the world's Kaiju, including Godzilla, descended on human cities in massive numbers. Only a few survivors remain, including an elder named Hiroshi who is stricken with memories of the catastrophic final battle between man and beast.
