The movie would have a higher budget than the previous installments of the Netflix Monsterverse series. This will also be Bryan Cranston's last performance for this series, as he will be going on to do other projects. It's been one year since Godzilla was last seen defending San Fran from Ghidorah and teaming up with Mothra, who is still out there watching over. Dr. Michael Lore, still dealing with the aftermath of S.F., has been feeling down lately. He still misses his daughter, Chloe, who is now living with her girlfriend Madison Weaver. Focusing back to Godzilla, something doesn't feel right with him. He's been destroying cities lately, with eyewitnesses saying that his eye color has been changed to an orange to red like color. However, back on Skull Island, a scientist and a deaf little girl have bonded with Kong with the use of sign language. Hearing that Godzilla has gone rogue, Kong believes that Godzilla is the enemy and they begin to fight. Some of the story elements would become a little messy, but there would be scenes where Godzilla and King Kong fight each other in Tokyo while the remaining people have to get to safety to stay away from the fight. Dr. Lore would sacrifice himself to save the little deaf girl, Jia, from being crushed by rubble, and Serizawa befriending Jia and Dr. Andrews in the end. Godzilla and Kong have a mutual agreement and part ways.
