The Library Ghost (also known as The Grey Lady, Gray Lady, Librarian Ghost, the Librarian, and Eleanor Twitty) was the ghost librarian - and the very first ghost that the Ghostbusters encountered in the 1984 original movie. Dr. Eleanor Twitty was the head librarian of the New York City Public Library - She was murdered by a follower of Ghoser in 1924. Now as a ghost, she wanders the stacks of the New York City Public Library still organizing books. Dr. Twitty has a PhD in philology = the study of old languages; their origin and use.
