Synopsis

After her mother's "accident", Jess moved to a small Massachusetts beach town with her extended family. Things were getting better for her: she had close friends, good grades, and was finally healing enough to talk to her mom again. But everything was worse in a way as well. Things moving and breaking with no explanation, strange figures following her every move, and Corey loathing her every moment of her existence. Jess has powers, powers strong enough to take out entire worlds and re-write reality. In the right hands, that power could change the world. But it turns out human hands aren't the right ones.

Description of The Mother (Claudia Koldings):

Decades ago, Claudia Koldings was the widow of a rich man on the east coast. After his death, Claudia settled. She never meant to take up witchcraft, but she thinks it was somewhat meant to be. The forest she resides in holds so much powerful magic, it'd be insane not to take advantage of it. But power like that can kill a human, so Claudia decided that magic was more important than her humanity. Years passed, and she knew she was dying. Living off the life force of the town wasn't enough, she needed people who held her same magic. Now a shell of the woman she used to be, Claudia feeds off of her two living ancestors, Jessica Lloyd, and Grayson Cohen.
