Billy Craven is a ghost who lives in Scared Ville, an underground world where monsters now live more normal lives. Billy is a rather rebellious, carefree, and impulsive ghost who has always wanted to scare people and celebrate Halloween. He is the son of Joseph Craven, a ghost guitarist who was previously in charge of opening a portal to the human world. At school, after a prank by his fellow monsters, Billy decides to flee to the human world by stealing his father's pick. In the human world, Billy meets Kim, a human who, like him, likes Halloween. He decides to destroy the Halloween agreement, unaware that they would awaken a family of demons.
