After Garfield eats all the food from the picnic basket before going on a picnic with Jon and Odie, Jon scolds him, packs a new lunch, and says he's not allowed to eat anymore food on the picnic and he can watch them eat as punishment, much to his dismay. At the picnic, Garfield meets a little girl named Jessie who lost her kite and offers Garfield a sandwich until Jon stops him from taking a bite because he's still being punished. Still angry about this, he walks off to the woods alone, then hours later he gets lost, and Odie and Jessie are with him. Will they find their way back to the picnic grounds, or will they be lost in the woods forever?
