"New New York" in the year 3000 follows Philip J. Fry, a hapless and unmotivated young pizza delivery boy from New York City who is accidentally cryogenically frozen on New Year's Eve 1999. A thousand years later, he is thawed out on December 31, 2999, and finds himself in a futuristic New New York. Fry, trying to escape his mandatory work assignment as a delivery boy, ends up working for Planet Express, a small intergalactic delivery company owned by his distant nephew. The series follows the wacky adventures of Fry and his eccentric colleagues as they travel the universe making deliveries for Planet Express.
