When in his draken form, Nektas is described as having red eyes by Sera, while Penellaphe Balfour describes his eyes to be a vivid blue. His red eyes are due to the lack of a Primal of Life. When Sera's powers manifest and her Ascension comes closer, she gets a flash of Nektas' blue eyes. The colour of his scales varies between gray and black. In his mortal form, Sera describes him as having long dark hair with crimson streaks in, while later Poppy mentions he has dark with silver streaks, though that change might be due to his age
