Remake of the 1956 movie Forbidden Planet
The story is set in the 23rd century and follows Commander John J. Adams and his crew, who are sent to the distant planet Altair IV to investigate the fate of a previous expedition. Upon arrival, they discover that only Dr. Edward Morbius and his daughter, Altaira, have survived. Morbius warns them of a mysterious, deadly force that wiped out the original crew.
