After a unanimous 2T spending bill passes through a corrupt Washington machine, COL. Daniel Cross (Chris Evans) and his elite handpicked team launch a synchronized assault on the Senate, White House, and strategic infrastructure, broadcasting live evidence of bipartisan self-dealing, black budgets, and a hidden breakaway security apparatus. As panic spreads and the President (Denzel Washington) is cornered into considering a radical debt-reset ultimatum send the President's Response Unit led by Capt. Marcus Jackson (Anthony Mackie) and his squad race through the collapsing capital, torn between duty, justice, and the possibility that Cross’s rage is aimed at a genuinely rotten system. The story builds toward a final 48-hour moral collision in which the government may choose between negotiation, exposure, or an airstrike that would kill its own citizens.
