A member of the Blue Lion House. From Duscur, he has served as aide to Dimitri for an early age. Despite his intimidating appearance, he enjoys cooking and gardening. He is fiercely loyal, but is often surprised when others try to treat him as a friend. Duscur people often experienced racism from the citizens of the kingdom, based on the belief they were part of the plot that killed the king. Dimitri does not believe that and treats Dedue as an equal. He vanishes early in the war helping Dimitri escape execution and returns later after being presumed dead. (Has the game canon ending where he and Flayn live happily ever after.
