John Force, Magic Agent is a Cold War-era comic book superhero created by Richard E. Hughes (using the pseudonym Shane O'Shea) and artist John Rosenberger. He served as the top operative for the American Security Group (ASG), a fictional clandestine agency operating under the direct command of President John F. Kennedy. He carries a magical ancient coin/amulet that grants him extraordinary abilities he can use such as ESP, telepathy, hypnosis, and to create illusions. Published by ACG (American Comics Group) the series ran for exactly three issues between January and September 1962 before ACG cancelled it. Because ACG allowed its copyrights to lapse, John Force, Magic Agent has since fallen into the public domain.
