Dr. Anton Phibes is a fictional character, a brilliant organist and theologian, known for his elaborate revenge plot against the doctors he blames for his wife's death. He is the central figure in the 1971 film The Abominable Dr. Phibes and its sequel, Dr. Phibes Rises Again. Badly disfigured and unable to speak after a car accident, Phibes uses his knowledge of music and technology to orchestrate his vengeful murders.
