There's little room in the heart of Victor von Doom for anyone but Victor von Doom. But if there was someone to hold a place in there, it's Valeria. Granddaughter of Doom's regular aid, Boris Karela, Valeria and Victor grew close throughout their childhood and there were whispers in the camp of marriage. But when the young von Doom was offered the chance to go to America and join the Future Foundation, the unambitious Valeria gave her love an ultimatum: he can stay with her in Latveria or go to America and never see her again. Victor chose the latter. And he hasn't seen her since.
