Younger adopted brother of Sue Storm and biological son of Franklin Richards, he is a brilliant but irresponsible young man with a rebellious attitude. During the Quantum Gate test, Johnny stays at the base helping Sue, but is also affected by the radiation and acquires the ability to set himself on fire and shoot fire. In the four years after the incident, Johnny becomes something of a sub-celebrity with his powers.
