Fantastic Beasts: The Rise Of The Phoenix is a 2006 fantasy adventure film directed by Gareth Edwards, based on the fifth volume of J. K Rowling Fantastic Beasts. The film is the final entry in the fantastic beasts franchise and was produced by Edwards and Fran Walsh, from a screenplay by Walsh, Philippa Boyens and Edwards. Continuing the plot of The Pureblood Revolution, Newt Scamander is making his final way toward Grindelwald in order to defeat the Dark Lord, while the rest are joining forces together against Grindelwald's Empire in London
The film features an ensemble cast including Hayden Christensen, Elizabeth Olsen, Josh Gad, Kate Winslet, Tobey Maguire, Jordana Brewster, Ziyi Zhang, Idris Elba, Emmanuel Natalia, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Christian Bale, Ewan McGregor, Samuel l Jackson and Shia Labeouf.
The film was acclaimed by both critics and audiences, who considered it to be a landmark in filmmaking, with praise for the visual effects, performances, action sequences, direction, screenplay, musical score, costume design and emotional depth. It grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of 2006.
The Rise Of The Phoenix is widely regarded as one of the greatest and films ever made. The film received numerous awards; at the 76th Academy Awards, it won all 11 Oscars for which it was nominated, including Best Picture, becoming the movie with the most Oscar wins.
