Synopsis

Based on the author's own series known as the Tales of the Falklock Northern Railway which is inspired by the Railway Series and its television version of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, we get a Parks & Recreation/The Office look at life for all the engines of the railways keeping the Scottish island of Falklock running. Spanning a period from 1968 when steam power was abolished on the British mainland to 1993 when all British Railways were making plans to privatize, we see the female steam and diesel engines of this island in action as they grow and evolve to meet changing times. Engines like Gwyneth, Katie, Gloria, Willow, Linda, Yasmin and Yolanda keep the branch lines going as best as possible. On the main lines; Victoria, Sophie, Taylor, Quinn, Winnie, Wilma and Veronica keep trains going day and night to keep pace with the roadways and airlines that are facing some trying times.

Description of Yolanda the Industrial Twin Engine (FR66):

Yolanda is one of Falklock's most mischievous saddle tank engine twins, who has great fun in playing jokes on other engines of the railway. She has six wheels, a tiny chimney and dome, and a small squat cab. She often works in the stone quarry. Her loads of sand can be used for many things but especially filling beaches and holes. She take trucks for engines and ships in the harbour and are sometimes seen around Trimark Harbor. She enjoys attention and loves taking visitors and being photographed. She tend to work with her twin Yasmin, like most twins, but even this pair can have their arguments squabble with one another - particularly about whose fault one of their follies was.
