Simon was an apprentice for Robert Queen and the son he never had as Oliver was irresponsible at the time. For many years Robert, Simon, Shado, and Frank Bertinelli were a pack of assassins and crime leader that no one would cross. When Robert and Shado began a relationship Simon was jealous. When Robert left crime Simon was disgusted by what he deemed as his friend “losing his steel” and vowed to become a better crime lord than Queen ever was. He arranged for his men to murder The Queen Family in cold blood and adopt the child of Shado and Robert as his own making her his heir.
