While there's no official announcement about "Elio 2", a sequel is certainly a possibility, especially if the first film performs well. Pixar has a history of turning successful original movies into franchises. The mid-credits scene in "Elio" also sets the stage for a potential continuation of the story.
Kibreab noted that if an Elios 2 happens, he would "want [Elio] to explore Earth next," in the same way he was able to explore the Communiverse.
