Sixteen years after the events of the first movie, Buddy the Elf is suffering the loss of both his adoptive father, Papa Elf, and his biological father, Walter Hobbs. Buddy takes over his late father's independent publishing business, and it becomes so overwhelming that he ends up losing his OWN Christmas spirit. Meanwhile, his teenage daughter, Susie (who is happy-go-lucky with lots of Christmas cheer), wants a soulmate for Christmas. Unfortunately, her crush is the naughtiest boy in her human school.
