Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
The first season of the American streaming television series Elektra, which is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, follows the early days of Elektra Natchios as she is inducted into The Hand, a secret organisation that has lived for a thousand years. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and other television series of the franchise. The season was produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios, DeKnight Productions and Goddard Textiles, with Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg serving as showrunners. Elodie Yung returns in the role of Elektra Natchios, alongside Scott Glenn, Zhang Ziyi, Charlie Cox, Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Simu Lu. Joining season 1 are Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada and Ken Watanabe.
