The most violent defect badnik, Omega was told to guard a captive Shadow the Hedgehog. Alone in the cell, Omega perceived this as abandonment and decided to prove that Eggman was wrong to disregard him– by destroying every other badnik, and then Eggman, to prove himself superior. He works with Sonic's team, who seem to like him, and spends most of his time causing explosions and trying to kill as many things as possible.
