Renee Montoya is an officer of the GCPD. She attended the US Naval Academy and served in the Marine Corps after graduation, alongside Kate Kane, with whom she had been in a relationship as a midshipman. After joining the GCPD, she was Harvey Bullock's partner until he was promoted to lieutenant and stayed in Gotham during No Man's Land. She would later become the new Question after the death of Vic Sage after he succumbed to his cancer. Renee has been working close with Batwoman and the Birds of Prey investigating the arrival of the CRIME terrorist sect in Gotham.
